About Us:

Acanthus Interiors Inc. had been in business in Port Hope Ontario for 26 years. In January 2019, Donna and Lawrence Londry took over from the previous owners.

As new owners, Donna and Lawrence applied their business know-how, passion for design, and their real-life experience along with home decor certification and are proudly operating Acanthus Interiors.

However, things took a turn and they had to make a hard call in June 2020. In response to the uncertainty due to COVID-19, they decided to close the ‘brick and mortar’ store in Port Hope. Following a brief period of running their business using eCommerce they reconsidered how to work in retail with the ‘new normal’ while providing in-home services. In November 2020 they reopened a small brick and mortar shoppe at 83 King St. W. in downtown Cobourg. This venue provided a place to show their products and meet their clients in their design area to explore fabrics and products however they quickly outgrew the space. In the late summer of 2021 they were on the hunt for a larger retail store and in October secured 79C King St. West. This move has provided them with more than double the retail space, and as of November 16, 2021 they reopened in this new location and are delighted to welcome clients to their expanded shoppe.
